To this day, I adore the books. I find myself rereading them all at least once every few years. I still love them.

I may be doing another post in a similar vein soon and I love that quote you've mentioned - so it very likely will be included.

I love what you have done. I recently re-read Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass and inspiration just leapt out of the pages.
I think that's the beauty of the 2 books- they are whimsical enough for children and yet deep enough for adults.

Check out this quote from Sylvie and Bruno (also by Carroll):

"She says she ca'n't, oo know. But I thinks it isn't ca'n't, it's wo'n't."

We use reusable shopping bags everywhere, not just the grocery store. We also use reusable bulk and produce bags. We invested in a water filter and several good water bottles--the cost of doing this is very small when compare to the cost of buying bottled water. We use cfl lighting throughout and put LED's in the two lamps we use the most--our goal is to go all LED as the price gets more affordable. We've reduced the amount of toilet paper and paper towels we use, but these items can't be eliminated, so we are looking for a better brand.

We try to teach by example and not waste. For example, when I go to the grocery store I take my bicycle and use reusable bags.
