Starbucks: We’ll Go By The Law
“I’d like a caramel Frappachino with whipped cream.”
Think of the wild west moves. Got it? Ok Corrals, horses and some tumbleweeds for effect. Got it all? Great, because that’s what some people seem to think Starbucks is about to become. How? By layin’ down the letter of the law (duhn dun dun…).
Well, okay by actually doing what they’ve pretty much been doing and allowing customers to carry legal guns, if they have a permit (and now, they are at the center of the same debate). Oh yeah- it’s gun control debate time!
Now, I will be perfectly honest- someone with a legal right to carry a firearm makes me far less nervous than someone just messing around with one (or, someone who has one illegally and all). As someone who legally has the right is far, far less dangerous to me than someone who doesn’t. I would happily quote some statistics, but I am not able to find them right this second (mind you, one’s with cited sources*).
Now, understandably Starbucks doesn’t want to be at the center of the Gun Control Debate ™, and really- they shouldn’t be. Yet, they now are (along with more gun puns than should be existing). Gun control is a serious debate that rages in the US constantly, mostly with the debate over (presently) legal types of automatic weapons, which supporters of the ban point out aren’t exactly normally used in hunting (unless, said hunter has really bad aim**).
So, sound off:
Should Starbucks allow (legal) firearms?
*I did however find a source that 6% of homicides use an ice pick- so, that’s something.
**Couldn’t resist- truthfully I know that automatic weapons are harder to aim and shoot correctly.

NO! Let me rephrase that Hell NO! I don't want to shop anywhere with a gun totting person, then add to that someone hyped up on caffeine, add some road rage, line rage and you've got a mess on your hands. Guns are made for one reason and one reason only to KILL. They kill people, they kill animals. Guns have no plus side, they don't make your meal taste better, lower your bills, educate your kids, they should be banned. Yes I know that still won't completely get rid of them; but it's a start.
Police need guns, the military needs gun, Jo Blow does not. And NO ONE needs semi automatic, assult type weapons in daily life.
