You Say ‘Self-Involved’ Like It’s a Bad Thing

You ever have that moment of clarity?  That one second that things almost sorta make some sense?  I’ve recently had one of those, while a fabulous thing in and of itself, self-revelations aren’t always all that great.

In looking around around at many of the ‘mommy bloggers’ I do know that this website isn’t exactly typical.  I have no uplifting stories, no tales of my amazing overcoming of hardships, and well- I’m sarcastic and rather annoying ranty at times.   While sure, it’s who I am and so that’s what my personal writing tends to gravitate towards (you know, hence the personal part).

Hell, the only real personal truths are all on the snarky side anyway (you know, Dora being the Devil, Spongebob is Magical, and really- Famous People Are Funny).  I guess I’m just deep like that.

However, as much as I would love to act otherwise- it’s the same thing in my day-to-day.  I’m that odd duck, but you know- I rather enjoy being that odd-duck.  At the very least I wear it well enough.

I guess the point of this post is this: I’m thankful for all of it.  The good point and the bad points of life are really what ties it all together.. While, sure some things were incredibly sucky- I’m still happy about it all now.  As for me and kiddo, life does have a lot to be happy for.

Happy Thanksgiving, and Cheers!
